I have been in practice since 2013 when I graduated from the University of Miami as a family nurse practitioner. I started my practice working in a busy emergency department in Miami, FL, transitioning to primary and HIV specialty care in 2014 where I treated a variety of primary care and HIV related conditions. Most recently, I’ve worked with Mayfaire Medical an HIV and LGBTQ+ service organization providing primary care and mental health care to a diverse clientele. I have always had an interest in mental health, and was able to provide a variety of mental health services to my primary care patients treating conditions such as depression, anxiety and bipolar disorder with a holistic approach. After several years, I decided I wanted to expand my skill set, and treat a full spectrum of mental health conditions, and decided to obtain my certificate as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. I believe in a holisitc approach to mental and physical healthcare, through careful consideration of client’s physical, mental, relational and spiritual needs. I will work with you to tailor a plan to support your goals in collaboration with you including medication management, non-pharmacologic treatment, brief counseling and holisitic treatments.
